                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is proud to honor
 1-2     Bobby Baker on the occasion of his retirement from the Euless City
 1-3     Council; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Elected to the city council in May 1990, Mr. Baker
 1-5     has worked diligently for the betterment of his hometown, and his
 1-6     expertise and experience will be sorely missed; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, A conscientious public servant, this highly regarded
 1-8     gentleman is also a business owner and tireless volunteer who has
 1-9     given his time and talent to numerous civic endeavors, including
1-10     serving as a member of the Tax Equalization Board, the Police
1-11     Department Training Academy Advisory Board, and the Park and
1-12     Recreation Board; and
1-13           WHEREAS, Mr. Baker served as vice chair of the Euless
1-14     Development Corporation and has participated with the Industrial
1-15     Development Authority and the HEB Economic Development Foundation;
1-16     he is also as a Master Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the
1-17     Scottish Rite; and
1-18           WHEREAS, Although his contributions to the city council will
1-19     be missed, Mr. Baker's retirement from that entity will give him
1-20     more time to spend with his family, which includes his wife of 36
1-21     years, Tenia, his two daughters, and one cherished grandson; and
1-22           WHEREAS, Bobby Baker has been an exceptional asset to the
1-23     Euless City Council for the past 11 years, and it is indeed a
1-24     pleasure to recognize him for his outstanding contributions at this
 2-1     time; now, therefore, be it
 2-2           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-3     Legislature hereby commend Bobby Baker for his many years of
 2-4     service to the people of North Texas and extend to him best wishes
 2-5     as he retires from the Euless City Council; and, be it further
 2-6           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-7     prepared for Mr. Baker as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 2-8     House of Representatives.
