R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, On April 30, 2001, Madeline J. Martin is bringing to
 1-2     a close a long and distinguished career with the Texas Alcoholic
 1-3     Beverage Commission (TABC), and this occasion provides an opportune
 1-4     moment to recognize her many years of devoted service; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, On September 1, 1977, Mrs. Martin was first employed
 1-6     as a stenographer in TABC's Galveston office, where she diligently
 1-7     worked until moving to El Paso; there she resumed employment for
 1-8     the TABC in the El Paso office as an administrative technician; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, On January 12, 1981, Mrs. Martin was transferred to
1-10     the Conroe Outpost under the Bryan District; a dedicated employee,
1-11     she received a promotion to administrative technician II before
1-12     transferring to the Richmond Outpost in Fort Bend County, where she
1-13     has remained until her retirement; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Respected and well-liked by her supervisors and
1-15     co-workers, Mrs. Martin has been an outstanding employee whose
1-16     knowledge and experience have made her an invaluable asset to the
1-17     TABC, and undoubtedly she will be greatly missed; now, therefore,
1-18     be it
1-19           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-20     Legislature hereby honor Madeline J. Martin on her retirement from
1-21     the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission and extend sincere best
1-22     wishes to her for good fortune and happiness in the future; and, be
1-23     it further
1-24           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-1     prepared for Mrs. Martin as an expression of high regard by the
 2-2     Texas House of Representatives.
