R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Johnnie Benjamon Oldham of 1-2 Waco on September 20, 2000, at the age of 20, deeply saddened the 1-3 family and many friends of this esteemed young gentleman, and it is 1-4 most appropriate that we honor his memory at this time; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Born on August 2, 1980, Mr. Oldham graduated from 1-6 Waco High School as a proud member of the Class of 1998; and 1-7 WHEREAS, He was an active member of First Baptist Church, 1-8 where his faith served as an inspiration to his fellow congregants; 1-9 he delighted his family and friends with his zest for life and his 1-10 kind heart, and he took much pleasure in his favorite hobbies: 1-11 riding motorcycles and driving his 1979 Blazer; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Although it is immeasurably painful to say goodbye 1-13 to one so young, it is fitting to remember Mr. Oldham's profound 1-14 effect on the lives of those around him, and his ability to give 1-15 and inspire love will be his lasting legacy; now, therefore, be it 1-16 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-17 Legislature hereby honor the memory of Johnnie Benjamon Oldham and 1-18 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, 1-19 Kelly Oldham; to his parents, John and Tone Oldham; to his sisters, 1-20 Wendi Valentine and Amie Oldham; and to his other relatives and 1-21 many friends; and, be it further 2-1 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-2 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of 2-3 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Johnnie 2-4 Benjamon Oldham.
