                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Judge Carol M. Siebman serves the citizens of
 1-2     Grayson County with integrity and fairness as judge of the County
 1-3     Court at Law No. 2, and Law Day 2001 provides a fitting opportunity
 1-4     to honor her contributions to the State of Texas; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Judge Siebman graduated from Southern Methodist
 1-6     University in 1985 and was a partner in the law firm of Siebman and
 1-7     Siebman for seven years before she became judge of the Grayson
 1-8     County Court at Law No. 2 in January 1999; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, She is a graduate of the Texas Judge's College and a
1-10     Texas Bar Foundation Fellow; she served for five years as the panel
1-11     chair of the District 1A State Bar Grievance Committee and was the
1-12     chair of the Judicial Relations Committee of the Eastern District
1-13     of the Texas Bar Association in 1997-1998; and
1-14           WHEREAS, This notable Texan is also active with the Pottsboro
1-15     Chamber of Commerce's 2001 Texas Scholars Committee, the Texoma
1-16     Christian School, and the Child Guidance Clinic of Grayson County,
1-17     for which she serves on the board of directors; and
1-18           WHEREAS, During her term as a district court judge, Carol
1-19     Siebman demonstrates her natural leadership abilities as she
1-20     fulfills her oath to uphold the laws of this state, and it is
1-21     indeed appropriate that she be honored with special legislative
1-22     recognition during the annual Law Day celebration; now, therefore,
1-23     be it
1-24           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-1     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the service of Judge Carol M.
 2-2     Siebman and extend to her sincere best wishes for good fortune and
 2-3     happiness in the years to come; and, be it further
 2-4           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-5     prepared for Judge Siebman as an expression of high regard by the
 2-6     Texas House of Representatives.
