R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Joyce Bise has been named "Citizen of the Year" by
 1-2     the Giddings Area Chamber of Commerce and this prestigious accolade
 1-3     is indeed well deserved; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Ms. Bise organized the first annual Lee County Fair
 1-5     & Rodeo, and the notable success of the rodeo is a tribute to her
 1-6     outstanding efforts; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, A graduate of Giddings High School, she has devoted
 1-8     much time and energy to bring together organizations including the
 1-9     Lee County Sheriff's Posse, Junior Livestock Committee, Optimist
1-10     Club, Rotary Club, Lion's Club, and the volunteer fire department;
1-11     and
1-12           WHEREAS, Her dedication to her community and commitment to
1-13     small town values are an inspiration to all who know her, and it is
1-14     indeed appropriate that she be honored at this time; now,
1-15     therefore, be it
1-16           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-17     Legislature hereby congratulate Joyce Bise on her selection as
1-18     "Citizen of the Year" by the Giddings Area Chamber of Commerce and
1-19     extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
1-20     happiness; and, be it further
1-21           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-22     prepared for Ms. Bise as an expression of high regard by the Texas
1-23     House of Representatives.
