R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, On May 11, 2001, Corrian Williams of Dallas will 1-2 travel to the State Capitol to participate in the Honorary Page 1-3 Program; and 1-4 WHEREAS, This unique program allows young Texans to assist 1-5 the staff of the house chief sergeant's office in performing tasks 1-6 for legislators, providing these volunteers with an ideal 1-7 opportunity to observe their state government in action; and 1-8 WHEREAS, The stepdaughter of Felicia Pitre, Ms. Williams will 1-9 be a page from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., and this experience will be one 1-10 she can look back on with pride for years to come; and 1-11 WHEREAS, By taking an active role in the governmental 1-12 process, this dedicated young woman serves as an inspiration to her 1-13 friends and fellow students, and it is indeed appropriate that she 1-14 be recognized for her efforts at this time; now, therefore, be it 1-15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-16 Legislature hereby commend Corrian Williams for her participation 1-17 in the Honorary Page Program and extend to her sincere best wishes 1-18 for an enjoyable and rewarding visit to the State Capitol; and, be 1-19 it further 1-20 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-21 prepared for Ms. Williams as an expression of high regard by the 1-22 Texas House of Representatives.
