R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW) is a 1-2 volunteer army unmatched by any other women's organization in the 1-3 wealth of its contributions and the scope of its reach; and 1-4 WHEREAS, Numbering 11,000 members strong with 182 clubs in 1-5 communities across the state, TFRW actively supports Republican 1-6 candidates and provides strength and unity for political action; 1-7 and 1-8 WHEREAS, Promoting education, training, and participation in 1-9 government, this dynamic organization empowers women to make their 1-10 voices heard, encouraging women to run for public office and 1-11 training others to become effective Republican Party workers and 1-12 join its membership in serving as a valuable volunteer resource for 1-13 like-minded candidates; and 1-14 WHEREAS, TFRW produces informative political action materials 1-15 and a quarterly publication and holds local and statewide meetings 1-16 to keep its members and the public current on issues of great 1-17 import to the citizens of this state; in addition, given the 1-18 organization's proven ability to get the job done, its members are 1-19 frequently entrusted with special assignments and campaign projects 1-20 to help further the goals of the Republican Party; and 1-21 WHEREAS, Today, many of these remarkable women are present in 1-22 the State Capitol to express their support of the party, and the 1-23 State of Texas is undoubtedly richer for their participation in the 1-24 political process; now, therefore, be it 2-1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 2-2 Legislature hereby welcome the hounds who are stalwarts in 2-3 promoting the party as members of the Texas Federation of 2-4 Republican Women to the State Capitol and urge all those present to 2-5 remember that, at the end of the day, we are all Texans who share a 2-6 common love of this great state we are proud to call home; and, be 2-7 it further 2-8 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-9 prepared for the Texas Federation of Republican Women as an 2-10 expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives and 2-11 that its members who are with us on this day be extended best 2-12 wishes for a safe journey home.
