R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The family and friends of Maureen Jane Hutchins were
 1-2     deeply saddened at the passing of this esteemed lady on April 20,
 1-3     2001, at the age of 60; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Orange, Ms. Hutchins was born
 1-5     on April 9, 1941, and graduated from Lutcher Stark High School; she
 1-6     worked for West Orange-Cove C.I.S.D. for many years with only a
 1-7     short break when she was employed as a secretary for the Orange
 1-8     County Sheriff's Department; and
 1-9           WHEREAS, Committed to the success and well-being of her
1-10     children and all the schoolchildren of her community, Ms. Hutchins
1-11     devoted much of her time to the Orangefield I.S.D. School Board,
1-12     serving two terms as trustee and as chaperone for the annual
1-13     Capital Scholars Program; when her son's baseball team had no
1-14     coach, she undertook the awesome responsibility, working hard to
1-15     learn the sport, and that summer the team won the league
1-16     championship; and
1-17           WHEREAS, An avid Texas A&M fan, Ms. Hutchins was an active
1-18     member of the Orange Chapter of the Aggie Moms Club, filling the
1-19     position of president, and she was dedicated to perpetuating Aggie
1-20     pride in her community; and
1-21           WHEREAS, Having lived her life with style and dignity,
1-22     sharing with everyone her radiant smile and compassion,
1-23     Ms. Hutchins will continue on in the hearts of the many individuals
1-24     whose lives she so deeply touched; now, therefore, be it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-2     Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Maureen Jane Hutchins
 2-3     and extend deepest sympathies to the members of her family:  to her
 2-4     husband, James W. Hutchins; to her parents, Maurice and Janie
 2-5     Garrett; to her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Trema Trawhon; to
 2-6     her son, Troy Trawhon; to her sister and brother-in-law, Jo Earline
 2-7     "Tutu" and Clester Andrews; to her niece, Jane Dyer; to her nephew,
 2-8     Mark Welch; to her grandchildren, Mackenzie Trawhon, Drake Trawhon,
 2-9     and Claire Trawhon; and to all her other relatives and many
2-10     friends; and, be it further
2-11           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-12     prepared for the members of her family and that when the Texas
2-13     House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
2-14     Maureen Hutchins.
