R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, On December 29, 2001, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Grussendorf
 1-2     of Anson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, and it is a
 1-3     privilege to honor this devoted couple as they mark this golden
 1-4     milestone; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, William Thomas "Bill" Grussendorf and the former
 1-6     Norma Jean Mills-Brasmer were united in matrimony on December 29,
 1-7     1951, in Wichita Falls; in the ensuing half-century, they have seen
 1-8     their family grow to include four children, Donald Thomas, Julie
 1-9     Ann, David William, and Daniel Ray, as well as six grandchildren
1-10     and one great-grandson; and
1-11           WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Grussendorf is a
1-12     descendant of German immigrants, the Seitz and Fienhold families,
1-13     who came to this country in the middle and late 1800s; she enjoyed
1-14     a career in education, banking, and public service, including
1-15     working with the American Cancer Society for many years; and
1-16           WHEREAS, Mr. Grussendorf is a descendant of German immigrants
1-17     who came to Bastrop in 1849 and Irish immigrants who came to this
1-18     country before 1794; he had a distinguished career with the United
1-19     States Department of Agriculture; and
1-20           WHEREAS, Residents of Anson since 1968, the Grussendorfs are
1-21     valued members of their community and are active parishioners at
1-22     First Baptist Church in Anson; and
1-23           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Grussendorf have enjoyed a wonderful
1-24     union filled with many happy times and cherished memories, and it
 2-1     is indeed appropriate to pay tribute to them at this time; now,
 2-2     therefore, be it
 2-3           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-4     Legislature hereby honor Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Grussendorf on their
 2-5     50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 2-6     continued happiness; and, be it further
 2-7           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-8     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Grussendorf as an expression of high
 2-9     regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
