R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Native Texan Mildred Barnes Jernigan recently
 1-2     celebrated a momentous event in her life with the observance of her
 1-3     90th birthday; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, This beloved lady was born on May 9, 1911, on a farm
 1-5     near Hutto, and as a young woman she enrolled at The University of
 1-6     Texas at Austin; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, "Aunt Millie," as she is affectionately known to her
 1-8     relatives, was married on April 18, 1933, and she and her husband
 1-9     were blessed with two fine sons; and
1-10           WHEREAS, The birthday of Mrs. Jernigan provides a fitting
1-11     opportunity for her friends and family to share with her a small
1-12     bit of the joy and hope that she has imparted to so many people
1-13     throughout the years; now, therefore, be it
1-14           RESOLVED, That Mildred Barnes Jernigan be congratulated on
1-15     the joyous occasion of her 90th birthday and that she be extended
1-16     sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
1-17           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-18     prepared for Mrs. Jernigan as an expression of high regard by the
1-19     Texas House of Representatives.
