                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The CAYSA Rattler Rumble '89 girls soccer team
 1-2     captured the state championship of the 2001 South Texas Cup, and
 1-3     this outstanding team accomplishment is most deserving of special
 1-4     legislative recognition; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Under the direction of coaches Roy Gaitan and John
 1-6     Pinney, the Rumble compiled an undefeated record in the U12 Girls
 1-7     State Tournament on May 5-6; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, The stellar accomplishment would not have been
 1-9     possible without the valuable contributions of all of the talented
1-10     team members, including Tonya Ancelet, Megan Brannen, Danielle
1-11     Chatham, Cayla Braun, Erin Doughtie, Ifey Equzo, Lindsey Handcox,
1-12     Emma Huth, Dani Mendeke, Jordann Michell, Leila Pedersen, Nikki
1-13     Pinney, Diane Raab, Courtney Smith, Katie Weise, and Alaina
1-14     Woodhull; and
1-15           WHEREAS, In becoming state champions, the Rattler Rumble's
1-16     players and coaches came together to achieve a common goal;
1-17     throughout the soccer tournament, they demonstrated their
1-18     infectious team spirit, superior skills, and prodigious abilities;
1-19     and
1-20           WHEREAS, With their commitment and hard work, the players
1-21     proved themselves to be formidable competitors, and as they take
1-22     justifiable pride and satisfaction in their state championship, it
1-23     is indeed appropriate to pay tribute to them at this time; now,
1-24     therefore, be it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-2     Legislature hereby congratulate the CAYSA Rattler Rumble '89 girls
 2-3     soccer team on becoming the 2001 South Texas Cup champions and
 2-4     extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
 2-5     it further
 2-6           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-7     prepared for the team members as an expression of high regard by
 2-8     the Texas House of Representatives.
