                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Bassett Middle School has been accorded a great
 1-2     honor by the El Paso Collaborative for Academic Excellence and the
 1-3     National Science Foundation for innovations in science education;
 1-4     and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Only one of six Schools of Excellence to be
 1-6     commended, Bassett Middle School has established unique learning
 1-7     programs that capture the students' interest in science, encourage
 1-8     them to continue in this worthwhile field of study, and ensure
 1-9     academic success; and
1-10           WHEREAS, The El Paso Collaborative and the National Science
1-11     Foundation have found it fitting to recognize Bassett Middle School
1-12     for its committed efforts and dedication to the teaching of
1-13     science, which is no doubt equipping young Texans with the tools
1-14     necessary to embrace the challenges of the future; now, therefore,
1-15     be it
1-16           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-17     Legislature hereby congratulate Bassett Middle School for being
1-18     honored as a School of Excellence for its innovations in science
1-19     education and extend to its faculty, staff, and students sincere
1-20     best wishes for continued success.
