R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at 1-2 the tragic loss of four Burkburnett women on May 8, 2001; the 1-3 passing of Dorothy Griffin, 62, Patricia Oliver, 66, Asline 1-4 Hinostrosa, 59, and Virginia Bean, 71, has left their loved ones 1-5 stunned and grieving as they seek to cope with this sudden 1-6 bereavement; and 1-7 WHEREAS, The four women, all members of the Burkburnett 1-8 Assembly of God, were on an outing with other members of their 1-9 congregation when their van was involved in an accident between 1-10 Jolly and Henrietta; and 1-11 WHEREAS, This incomprehensible event has touched many people 1-12 in this close-knit, North Texas community, drawing them together 1-13 for mutual support in a time of deep, shared sadness; even as they 1-14 mourn, however, the families and loved ones of these cherished 1-15 women rejoice in the gift of their lives, which so enriched the 1-16 world around them, and the memory of which will long live on in the 1-17 hearts of those who treasured them; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-19 Legislature pay tribute to the lives of Dorothy Griffin, Patricia 1-20 Oliver, Asline Hinostrosa, and Virginia Bean and extend sincere 1-21 sympathy to the members of their families and their many friends; 1-22 and, be it further RESOLVED, That when the Texas House of 1-23 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dorothy 1-24 Griffin, Patricia Oliver, Asline Hinostrosa, and Virginia Bean.
