R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Deonne Cunningham has provided invaluable service as
 1-2     a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Joseph
 1-3     Deshotel throughout this legislative session; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, A junior at the University of Houston, where she is
 1-5     studying political science, business administration, and Spanish,
 1-6     Ms. Cunningham is a participant in the Texas Legislative Internship
 1-7     Program; in that capacity, she has had the opportunity to witness
 1-8     history in the making, and her myriad contributions as a staffer
 1-9     this session have certainly proven the merit of the program for the
1-10     employer as well as for the student; and
1-11           WHEREAS, Ms. Cunningham, who hopes to one day attend law
1-12     school, has taken on each new task she has been given with
1-13     characteristic enthusiasm and dedication, and her work has greatly
1-14     benefited the citizens of House District 22; it is not only a
1-15     privilege to commend her for a job well done, but also a distinct
1-16     pleasure to wish her many happy returns on this special day, which
1-17     happens to be her birthday; now, therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby honor Deonne Cunningham for her outstanding
1-20     service as a legislative intern in the office of State
1-21     Representative Joseph Deshotel and extend to her heartfelt birthday
1-22     congratulations; and, be it further
1-23           RESOLVED,  That  an  official  copy  of  this  resolution  be
1-24     prepared for Ms. Cunningham as an expression of high regard by the
 2-1     Texas House of Representatives.
