R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, This year marks the conclusion of a distinguished
 1-2     career in education for Danielle Copeland of Dallas, providing a
 1-3     fitting opportunity to reflect on her noteworthy tenure; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, A former kindergarten teacher, Ms. Copeland has been
 1-5     the director of the Open Door Preschool since 1996, and during that
 1-6     time she has demonstrated the dedication and foresight essential
 1-7     for success in this valued field; she has earned the respect of her
 1-8     colleagues and the gratitude of countless parents for her tireless
 1-9     service on behalf of the children of this state; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Under her diligent guidance, the Open Door Preschool
1-11     was accredited by the National Association of Childhood Programs
1-12     and has garnered recognition as a leader in preschool education in
1-13     the Dallas area; this esteemed businesswoman has also expanded the
1-14     program to include more children while preserving its solid
1-15     financial foundation; and
1-16           WHEREAS, In addition to her work at the school, Ms. Copeland
1-17     is an active community leader and children's advocate, giving
1-18     generously of her time and many talents to a host of worthy
1-19     initiatives; and
1-20           WHEREAS, A woman of notable accomplishments, Ms. Copeland is
1-21     truly a model citizen and is most deserving of our praise as she
1-22     embarks on her well-deserved retirement; now, therefore, be it
1-23           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-24     Legislature hereby commend Danielle Copeland on her service as
 2-1     director of the Open Door Preschool and her commitment to the
 2-2     children of the Lone Star State and extend to her sincere best
 2-3     wishes for success in all of her future endeavors; and, be it
 2-4     further
 2-5           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-6     prepared for Ms. Copeland as an expression of high regard by the
 2-7     Texas House of Representatives.
