                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Claude L. Cole is being commemorated for forty-seven
 1-2     years of outstanding service in Education with the Houston
 1-3     Independent School District; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, He has been supported through his years of work in
 1-5     education with the love and support of his wife, Nell Grovey Cole,
 1-6     and his daughter, Jonnelle Hollins with her husband and three
 1-7     children; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, Mr. Cole spent his youth attending schools in the
 1-9     Houston Independent School District and after receiving his higher
1-10     education degrees from Texas Southern University and University of
1-11     Oklahoma returned to Houston to give back to his very own
1-12     community; and
1-13           WHEREAS, the students that Mr. Cole taught at Jack Yates High
1-14     School, W. E. Miller Junior High School, the Houston Technical
1-15     Institute, and the Barbara Jordan High School for Careers will be
1-16     eternally grateful for the guidance and discipline he provided
1-17     during his years of involvement; and
1-18           WHEREAS, Mr. Cole is a military veteran who served his
1-19     country in the U.S. Army as a soldier as well as a trainer of men;
1-20     and
1-21           WHEREAS, He has served in various functions in his community
1-22     as a model leader, performing works for his church, past schools,
1-23     and numerous community service organizations; now, therefore, be it
 2-1           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-2     Legislature warmly commend Mr. Claude L. Cole for the many
 2-3     achievement he has made in helping to shape tomorrow's leaders and
 2-4     offers humble gratitude for the continued efforts to shape people's
 2-5     lives; be it further
 2-6           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-7     prepared for Mr. Claude L. Cole as an expression of high regard by
 2-8     the Texas House of Representatives.
