R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
 1-2     honor the staff of the House Research Organization, whose diligent
 1-3     efforts throughout this legislative session have earned our highest
 1-4     respect and gratitude; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, The House Research Organization is an independent
 1-6     and impartial administrative department that offers a broad variety
 1-7     of legislative services; the agency provides vital factual and
 1-8     analytic information in concisely formatted reports about house
 1-9     legislation; its daily analyses and digests cover nearly 1,000
1-10     bills and joint resolutions each session; and
1-11           WHEREAS, Continuing its work throughout the interim, the
1-12     staff also produces special reports examining a host of issues,
1-13     including the state's budget proposals; many of these reports are
1-14     published on the Internet, allowing the citizens of Texas access to
1-15     this valuable information; and
1-16           WHEREAS, Staffed by an exceptional group of professionals,
1-17     the House Research Organization consists of director Tom Whatley,
1-18     editor Greg Martin, office manager Rita Barr, associate editor Dana
1-19     Jepson, administrative aide Uriel Druker, senior analysts Kellie
1-20     Dworaczyk and Patrick K. Graves, and analysts Elizabeth Bain, Kelli
1-21     Donges, Alysson Ford, Margaret Ioannides, Kortney Kloppe-Orton,
1-22     Lynn Leifker, Virginia L. Nailling, Philip H. Parker, Lidia
1-23     Pedraza, Travis Phillips, and Kate Robertson; and
1-24           WHEREAS, These outstanding men and women have demonstrated
 2-1     tireless commitment to their duties and contributed immeasurably to
 2-2     the success of the 77th Legislature, and in light of their hard
 2-3     work and dedication, it is most appropriate that they be recognized
 2-4     at this time; now, therefore, be it
 2-5           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
 2-6     Legislature hereby commend the House Research Organization and its
 2-7     staff for their service to the legislative process; and, be it
 2-8     further
 2-9           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2-10     prepared for each member of the organization as an expression of
2-11     highest regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
