R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Orlando Eduardo Olivarez from Cantu Elementary 1-2 School has received a 2000-2001 Teacher of the Year award from the 1-3 Mission Consolidated Independent School District, and it is indeed 1-4 a privilege to commend this committed educator at this time; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The prestigious Teacher of the Year awards are 1-6 presented to educators who inspire a love of learning in their 1-7 students while taking an active role in their communities; and 1-8 WHEREAS, These individuals must also exhibit the ability to 1-9 work effectively and cooperatively with their colleagues and 1-10 different groups in the community, as well as the desire to keep 1-11 abreast of current educational theories and practices and the 1-12 ability and willingness to make meaningful contributions to the 1-13 field of education; and 1-14 WHEREAS, During nine years of devoted service to the Mission 1-15 district, Orlando Eduardo Olivarez has proven to be an exemplary 1-16 teacher who has undoubtedly made an immeasurable contribution to 1-17 the education of the youth of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, 1-18 be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-20 Legislature hereby congratulate Orlando Eduardo Olivarez on 1-21 receiving a 2000-2001 Teacher of the Year award from the Mission 1-22 Consolidated Independent School District; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-24 prepared for Orlando Eduardo Olivarez as an expression of high 2-1 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
