R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Nadine S. Plunkett from Mission Ninth Grade School 1-2 has received a 2000-2001 Teacher of the Year award from the Mission 1-3 Consolidated Independent School District, and it is indeed a 1-4 privilege to commend this committed educator at this time; and 1-5 WHEREAS, The prestigious Teacher of the Year awards are 1-6 presented to educators who inspire a love of learning in their 1-7 students while taking an active role in their communities; and 1-8 WHEREAS, These individuals must also exhibit the ability to 1-9 work effectively and cooperatively with their colleagues and 1-10 different groups in the community, as well as the desire to keep 1-11 abreast of current educational theories and practices and the 1-12 ability and willingness to make meaningful contributions to the 1-13 field of education; and 1-14 WHEREAS, During three years of devoted service to the Mission 1-15 district, Nadine S. Plunkett has proven to be an exemplary teacher 1-16 who has undoubtedly made an immeasurable contribution to the 1-17 education of the youth of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be 1-18 it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-20 Legislature hereby congratulate Nadine S. Plunkett on receiving a 1-21 2000-2001 Teacher of the Year award from the Mission Consolidated 1-22 Independent School District; and, be it further 1-23 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 1-24 prepared for Nadine S.
