                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State
 1-2     of Texas, 77th Legislature, Regular Session, 2001, That House Rule
 1-3     13, Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule
 1-4     13, Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to
 1-5     resolve the differences on H.B. No. 1094, relating to the creation
 1-6     of a state prescription drug program for certain Medicare
 1-7     beneficiaries, to consider and take action on the following matter:
 1-8           House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(4), is suspended to permit the
 1-9     committee to add Subsection (c) to proposed Section 531.302,
1-10     Government Code, to read as follows:
1-11           (c)  In adopting rules for the state prescription drug
1-12     program, the commission shall consult with an advisory panel
1-13     composed of an equal number of physicians, pharmacists, and
1-14     pharmacologists appointed by the commissioner.
1-15           Explanation:  This change is necessary to require the Health
1-16     and Human Services Commission to consult with an advisory panel in
1-17     adopting rules for the state prescription drug program.
