R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Lindsey Buller has provided invaluable service as a 1-2 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Miguel D. 1-3 Wise throughout this legislative session; and 1-4 WHEREAS, In her role as a legislative assistant, Ms. Buller 1-5 has been a tremendous asset to Representative Wise and the staff as 1-6 well as to the constituents of House District 39, and she has 1-7 demonstrated a strong work ethic and professionalism throughout her 1-8 fine tenure; and 1-9 WHEREAS, A senior at Southwestern University, Ms. Buller will 1-10 graduate with a bachelor of arts degree in December 2001 with a 1-11 double major in international studies and Spanish; this outstanding 1-12 student was accorded a well-deserved honor in 1999 when she was 1-13 asked to present her paper "Conflict in Chiapas: Explanations and 1-14 Solutions" at the annual meeting of the Southwestern Social 1-15 Sciences Association; and 1-16 WHEREAS, Ms. Buller has earned a place on the dean's list 1-17 four times and is a Southwestern Scholar, a National Merit Scholar, 1-18 and a member of Sigma Delta Pi National Spanish Honor Society; and 1-19 WHEREAS, At this time, it is a privilege to honor Lindsey 1-20 Buller for her noteworthy service during this legislative session; 1-21 now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-23 Legislature hereby commend Lindsey Buller on her service as a 1-24 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Miguel D. 2-1 Wise and extend to her sincere best wishes for success in all of 2-2 her future endeavors; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for Ms. Buller as an expression of high regard by the 2-5 Texas House of Representatives.
