No. 1303 77R17751 WMS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Katie Ann Nettles has given generously of her time 1-2 and talent as a legislative intern in the office of Representative 1-3 Miguel D. Wise this session; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The daughter of Charles and Betsy Nettles of 1-5 Houston, this outstanding young woman has consistently demonstrated 1-6 throughout her internship the ability to respond quickly and 1-7 effectively to the challenges that arise daily in a demanding 1-8 office environment; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Ms. Nettles is an honors graduate of Duchesne 1-10 Academy of the Sacred Heart in Houston and is currently attending 1-11 The University of Texas at Austin; a member of the Senior Fellows 1-12 honors program in the College of Communication, she is on track to 1-13 attain her degree in May 2003; and 1-14 WHEREAS, In addition, she is a member of the National 1-15 Communication Association and the National Society of Collegiate 1-16 Scholars and is an officer and member of Kappa Alpha Theta 1-17 sorority; and 1-18 WHEREAS, During her fine tenure, Ms. Nettles has 1-19 distinguished herself as a valued and trusted legislative 1-20 assistant, and her many significant contributions to the office 1-21 have helped to ensure its smooth functioning throughout the course 1-22 of the session; now, therefore, be it 1-23 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-24 Legislature hereby commend Katie Ann Nettles for her exemplary 2-1 service as a legislative intern and extend to her sincere best 2-2 wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further 2-3 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-4 prepared for Ms. Nettles as an expression of high regard by the 2-5 Texas House of Representatives.
