R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes great
 1-2     pleasure in honoring Alicia Garrison of Dallas for exhibiting
 1-3     decency and consideration of others in her actions; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, While backing her car out of a parking space,
 1-5     Mrs. Garrison accidentally hit the vehicle next to hers, and
 1-6     instead of simply going on her way, she left a note of apology,
 1-7     along with her personal and insurance information, to make certain
 1-8     the owner of the damaged vehicle knew what had occurred and had the
 1-9     means to have the car repaired; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Courtesy is often less common than it should be; it
1-11     is refreshing when a person embraces responsibility instead of
1-12     avoiding it and creates in their fellowman a greater faith in the
1-13     goodness of human beings; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Through her admirable behavior, Alicia Garrison has
1-15     set an example of doing the right thing when no one is watching,
1-16     and it is indeed appropriate that she be honored at this time; now,
1-17     therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby commend Alicia Garrison on her honesty and
1-20     integrity; and, be it further
1-21           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-22     prepared for Mrs. Garrison as an expression of high regard by the
1-23     Texas House of Representatives.
