                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, Gabriel Almanza has provided an invaluable service
 1-2     to the office of State Representative Miguel Wise and the residents
 1-3     of House District 39 throughout this legislative session; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, Mr. Almanza has earned the respect of his colleagues
 1-5     and associates through his professional attitude and his obvious
 1-6     commitment to the people of Texas; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, A recent graduate of Southwest Texas State
 1-8     University, Mr. Almanza distinguished himself as an accomplished
 1-9     scholar and student leader by earning a place on the dean's list
1-10     three times while maintaining a significant amount of campus
1-11     involvement; active with the school's Associated Student
1-12     Government, the League of United Latin American Citizens, the
1-13     Multicultural Programs Committee, and Falls Hall Council, he has
1-14     demonstrated a commitment to civic participation that is a good
1-15     indication of the contributions he will make to this state in the
1-16     years to come; and
1-17           WHEREAS, Mr. Almanza is truly an outstanding Texan whose
1-18     service during this year's session is most admirable, and it is a
1-19     privilege to recognize him at this time; now, therefore, be it
1-20           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-21     Legislature hereby commend Gabriel Almanza for his service to the
1-22     office of State Representative Miguel Wise and extend to him
1-23     sincere best wishes for success and happiness in all his future
 2-1     endeavors; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for Mr. Almanza as an expression of high regard by the
 2-4     Texas House of Representatives.
