No. 1382 77R18067 WMS-D R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives takes great 1-2 pleasure in honoring Diana Alicia Alonzo, who was named Miss 1-3 Crystal City on April 20, 2001; and 1-4 WHEREAS, The daughter of Mary Bodie and the late Joe Alonzo, 1-5 this vivacious young woman is a student at Crystal City High 1-6 School, where she is a member of the band and the basketball team; 1-7 in addition, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills as 1-8 a student council representative and as vice president of the 1-9 junior class; and 1-10 WHEREAS, Deeply committed to her community, Miss Alonzo has 1-11 given freely of her time and talents to such worthy initiatives as 1-12 food and toy drives and has gained valuable work experience as a 1-13 volunteer at Rich & Alonzo, P.C., and as an office attendant at the 1-14 Law Office of Roberto R. Alonzo; and 1-15 WHEREAS, With her outstanding grace and charm, this dynamic 1-16 beauty will provide exemplary representation for her city 1-17 throughout her reign as Miss Crystal City, and it is indeed 1-18 appropriate that she be given special legislative recognition; now, 1-19 therefore, be it 1-20 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-21 Legislature hereby congratulate Diana Alicia Alonzo on becoming 1-22 Miss Crystal City 2001 and extend to her sincere best wishes for 1-23 continued success and happiness; and, be it further 1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-1 prepared for Miss Alonzo as an expression of high regard by the 2-2 Texas House of Representatives.
