                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, It is truly fitting to honor Rosa Quintanilla and
 1-2     Sabas Sandoval, Jr., of Mission, who have shown unparalleled
 1-3     commitment to the betterment of their community; and
 1-4           WHEREAS, This joyous couple have been married for 56 years,
 1-5     and they have five children, 16 grandchildren, and six
 1-6     great-grandchildren; Mr. Sandoval answered his country's call to
 1-7     duty when he served in the U.S. Army during World War II; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, Together they have created a rich legacy of public
 1-9     service, helping individuals living in Texas and Mexico, and they
1-10     have been accorded many honors for their work, including the Good
1-11     Samaritan Award from the Mission Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic
1-12     Excellence Award from Kenneth White Junior High School, and
1-13     numerous official recognitions from dignitaries in Reynosa,
1-14     Tamaulipas, Mexico; and
1-15           WHEREAS, Exemplifying the highest ideals of giving, Mr. and
1-16     Mrs. Sandoval are indeed deserving of special legislative
1-17     commendation; now, therefore, be it
1-18           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-19     Legislature hereby recognize Rosa Quintanilla and Sabas Sandoval,
1-20     Jr., for their outstanding service to their community; and, be it
1-21     further
1-22           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
1-23     prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Sandoval as an expression of high regard
1-24     by the Texas House of Representatives.
