                                 R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, On June 30, 2001, Dorene Patricia Goodson is
 1-2     retiring as the court coordinator from the 233rd District Court in
 1-3     Fort Worth, and it is indeed a privilege to honor her for her many
 1-4     years of dedicated service; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Mrs. Goodson was hired as the court coordinator for
 1-6     the 233rd District Court by Judge William Brigham on June 1, 1989;
 1-7     currently working for Judge William Harris, she has served the City
 1-8     of Fort Worth and the State of Texas with distinction for more than
 1-9     a decade, and her hard work and devotion are truly commendable; and
1-10           WHEREAS, A lifelong Republican, she has been active in the
1-11     campaigns of many noteworthy political leaders, including George
1-12     Bush, George W. Bush, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Barry
1-13     Goldwater, Dick Armey, and Bill Clements, as well as Kim Brimer,
1-14     Kent Grusendorf, Chris Harris, and many others; and
1-15           WHEREAS, For more than 40 years she has been married to Mel
1-16     Goodson, and the loving couple have enjoyed a wonderful union
1-17     filled with many happy times and cherished family memories; and
1-18           WHEREAS, Mrs. Goodson has proven herself to be an admirable
1-19     public servant and a highly committed and politically minded woman,
1-20     and it is most appropriate that we extend to her sincere best
1-21     wishes for an enjoyable retirement; now, therefore, be it
1-22           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-23     Legislature hereby congratulate Dorene Patricia Goodson on her
1-24     retirement as the court coordinator from the 233rd District Court
 2-1     in Fort Worth; and, be it further
 2-2           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-3     prepared for Mrs. Goodson as an expression of high regard by the
 2-4     Texas House of Representatives.
