R E S O L U T I O N
1-1 WHEREAS, Joseph B. Atkins has been an outstanding legislative
1-2 intern in the Capitol office of State Representative Glenn O.
1-3 Lewis, and his hard work and dedication during this regular session
1-4 have been important assets to Representative Lewis and to the
1-5 constituents of House District 95; and
1-6 WHEREAS, A student at Southwest Texas State University with
1-7 course work concentrations in political science and business
1-8 administration, this industrious young man has demonstrated a
1-9 strong work ethic and admirable commitment to his position during
1-10 his internship with the legislature; in addition, he gained unique
1-11 insight into the workings of state government, acquiring valuable
1-12 expertise in the legislative process; and
1-13 WHEREAS, With the regular session of the 77th Legislature
1-14 drawing to a close, it is most appropriate to honor the significant
1-15 efforts of Mr. Atkins and to express appreciation for his notable
1-16 work; now, therefore, be it
1-17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-18 Legislature hereby commend Joseph B. Atkins on his tenure as an
1-19 intern in the Capitol office of State Representative Glenn O. Lewis
1-20 and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and
1-21 happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy
1-22 of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Atkins as an expression of
1-23 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
