R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Shannon O'Reilly has been an outstanding legislative 1-2 intern in the Capitol office of State Representative Glenn O. 1-3 Lewis, and her hard work and dedication during this regular session 1-4 have been important assets to Representative Lewis and to the 1-5 constituents of House District 95; and 1-6 WHEREAS, A senior at The University of Texas at Austin, 1-7 Ms. O'Reilly is graduating in May of 2001 with course work 1-8 concentrations in government, history, and business; she is a 1-9 member of the government honor society Pi Sigma Alpha and of Phi 1-10 Alpha Delta, an international law fraternity, and she is a member 1-11 of the fraternity's team that earned a first place ranking at the 1-12 1999 Mock Trial Tournament at Northwestern University Law School in 1-13 Chicago, Illinois; and 1-14 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff of Representative Lewis this 1-15 January, this dedicated young woman has demonstrated an admirable 1-16 commitment to her position through her reliability and unwavering 1-17 professionalism; in addition, she has garnered a unique insight 1-18 into the workings of state government that will surely serve her 1-19 well as she pursues her interest in the legal field; and 1-20 WHEREAS, With the regular session of the 77th Legislature 1-21 drawing to a close, it is most appropriate to honor the significant 1-22 efforts of Ms. O'Reilly and to express appreciation for her notable 1-23 work; now, therefore, be it 1-24 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 2-1 Legislature hereby commend Shannon O'Reilly on her tenure as an 2-2 intern in the Capitol office of State Representative Glenn O. Lewis 2-3 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and 2-4 happiness; and, be it further 2-5 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-6 prepared for Ms. O'Reilly as an expression of high regard by the 2-7 Texas House of Representatives.
