R E S O L U T I O N 1-1 WHEREAS, Armando Perez is a proud member of the 2001 1-2 graduating class from the Texas School for the Deaf; and 1-3 WHEREAS, Mr. Perez has demonstrated an outstanding 1-4 commitment to his education and has taken a variety of computer 1-5 technology courses through the school's innovative 1-6 vocational-technical program; and 1-7 WHEREAS, He has been actively involved in a number of sports 1-8 at Texas School for the Deaf and was a member of the Rangers 1-9 football team that qualified for the bi-district playoffs during 1-10 the 2000 season; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Beginning in the fall of 2001, Mr. Perez hopes to 1-12 continue his academic pursuits by attending Texas State Technical 1-13 College in Waco, where he plans to study computer programming; and 1-14 WHEREAS, With his industriousness, leadership, and diligence, 1-15 Mr. Perez has proven himself to be a shining example for his 1-16 classmates, and as he embraces the myriad challenges and 1-17 opportunities that lie in front of him, it is indeed a privilege to 1-18 pay tribute to him; now, therefore, be it 1-19 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas 1-20 Legislature hereby congratulate Armando Perez on the occasion of 1-21 his graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf and extend to him 1-22 sincere best wishes for happiness in his future endeavors; and, be 1-23 it further 1-24 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 2-1 prepared for Mr. Perez as an expression of high regard by the Texas 2-2 House of Representatives.
