R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, The retirement of Dorene Goodson as court
 1-2     coordinator of the 233rd District Court of Tarrant County on June
 1-3     14, 2001, brings to a close the distinguished career of a highly
 1-4     regarded public servant; and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Hired by the Honorable William Brigham, this
 1-6     esteemed woman has served admirably with both Judge Brigham and his
 1-7     successor, the Honorable William Harris; and
 1-8           WHEREAS, During her outstanding 13-year tenure, she has
 1-9     helped the 233rd District Court maintain one of the lowest dockets
1-10     of pending cases of all the family law courts in Tarrant County;
1-11     handling her duties with textbook efficiency, she has been
1-12     instrumental in enabling the court to function smoothly and
1-13     expeditiously; and
1-14           WHEREAS, In her well-deserved retirement, this longtime
1-15     Arlington resident is looking forward to spending time with her
1-16     husband, Mel, in addition to traveling and antiquing; and
1-17           WHEREAS, Ms. Goodson's conscientious and capable execution of
1-18     her responsibilities has quietly eased the way for countless
1-19     families seeking the assistance of the court, and it is indeed most
1-20     appropriate to pay tribute to her at this time; now, therefore, be
1-21     it
1-22           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-23     Legislature hereby congratulate Dorene Goodson on the occasion of
1-24     her retirement as court coordinator of the 233rd District Court of
 2-1     Tarrant County and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
 2-2     good fortune and happiness; and, be it further
 2-3           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-4     prepared for Ms. Goodson as an expression of high regard by the
 2-5     Texas House of Representatives.
