R E S O L U T I O N
 1-1           WHEREAS, On June 1, 2001, Fidelity Investments Southwest
 1-2     Headquarters in Westlake is having its grand opening, and this
 1-3     auspicious occasion truly warrants special legislative recognition;
 1-4     and
 1-5           WHEREAS, Located on 300 wooded acres of land in the city of
 1-6     Westlake, Fidelity Investments is a welcome addition to the
 1-7     community as it will not only employ more than 2,400 local citizens
 1-8     but it will also usher in an exciting period of increased growth
 1-9     and progress to northeast Tarrant County; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Over the next decade Fidelity Investments is
1-11     expected to bring in more than $3.8 billion to the local economy in
1-12     increased commerce with local vendors, suppliers, contractors, and
1-13     many other businesses; and
1-14           WHEREAS, Fidelity Investments will also serve northeast
1-15     Tarrant County as a committed corporate neighbor that will benefit
1-16     the community and local nonprofit organizations through its
1-17     philanthropic involvement; and
1-18           WHEREAS, At this time, it is a pleasure to recognize Fidelity
1-19     Investments as it embarks on a lasting partnership with the
1-20     Westlake community; now, therefore, be it
1-21           RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 77th Texas
1-22     Legislature hereby congratulate Fidelity Investments Southwest
1-23     Headquarters on the occasion of its grand opening; and, be it
1-24     further
 2-1           RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 2-2     prepared for Fidelity Investments as an expression of high regard
 2-3     by the Texas House of Representatives.
