Chapter 17, Code of Criminal Procedure, is 1-14 amended by adding Article 17.331 to read as follows: 1-15 Art. 17.331. NOTICE OF BAIL REDUCTION REQUIRED FOR CERTAIN 1-16 DEFENDANTS. Before a magistrate reduces the amount of bail set 1-17 under this code for a defendant charged with or convicted of an 1-18 offense listed in Section 3g(a)(1), Article 42.12, the magistrate 1-19 shall provide reasonable notice of the proposed bail reduction to 1-20 the attorney representing the state. 1-21 SECTION 2.
