1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to the qualifications for a provisional license to
1-3 practice chiropractic.
1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-5 SECTION 1. Section 201.309, Occupations Code, is amended by
1-6 adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
1-7 (g) Notwithstanding Subsection (b)(1)(A), an applicant who
1-8 was originally licensed to practice chiropractic in another state
1-9 or foreign country before August 1, 1979, is not ineligible for a

1-11 have a licensing requirement substantially equivalent to the
1-12 requirements of Section 201.302(a)(3) if the applicant has at least
1-13 20 years' experience in the practice of chiropractic. A person to
1-14 whom a provisional license is issued under this subsection must
1-15 comply with the requirements of Section 201.302(a)(3) not later
1-16 than the third anniversary of the date the provisional license is
1-17 issued.
1-18 SECTION 2. (a) This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
