 1-6                            A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-7                                   AN ACT
 1-8     relating to chiropractic facility licenses issued by the Texas
 1-9     Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
1-10           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-11           SECTION 1.  Subsection (b), Section 201.312, Occupations
1-12     Code, is amended to read as follows:
1-13           (b)  The rules adopted under this section must:
1-14                 (1)  specify the licensing requirements for a
1-15     chiropractic facility;
1-16                 (2)  prescribe the structure of the facility licensing
1-17     program; and
1-18                 (3)  provide for the issuance of [only] one facility
1-19     license to an owner of a chiropractic facility for each [without
1-20     regard to the number of] chiropractic facility [facilities] owned
1-21     by the owner.
1-22           SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
1-23           SECTION 3.  This Act applies only to a chiropractic facility
1-24     license that is issued or renewed on or after September 1, 2001.  A
1-25     license that is issued or renewed before September 1, 2001, is
1-26     governed by the law in effect on the day the license is issued or
1-27     renewed, and that former law is continued in effect for that
1-28     purpose.
