1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the appeal of certain determinations by the Texas Board
 1-3     of Chiropractic Examiners.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1.  Subsection (a), Section 201.510, Occupations
 1-6     Code, is amended to read as follows:
 1-7           (a)  A person whose license to practice chiropractic has been
 1-8     revoked or suspended or against whom the board has imposed an
 1-9     administrative penalty may appeal to a Travis County district court
1-10     [in the county where the person resides].
1-11           SECTION 2.  This Act applies only to a license revoked or
1-12     suspended or an administrative penalty imposed on or after the
1-13     effective date of this Act.  A license revoked or suspended or an
1-14     administrative penalty imposed before the effective date of this
1-15     Act is governed by the law in effect on the date the license was
1-16     revoked or suspended or the administrative penalty was imposed, and
1-17     that law is continued in effect for that purpose.
1-18           SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
