1-1 AN ACT 1-2 relating to the Border Trade Advisory Committee. 1-3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-4 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 201, Transportation Code, 1-5 is amended by adding Section 201.114 to read as follows: 1-6 Sec. 201.114. BORDER TRADE ADVISORY COMMITTEE. (a) The 1-7 commission shall establish the Border Trade Advisory Committee to 1-8 define and develop a strategy and make recommendations to the 1-9 commission for addressing the highest priority border trade 1-10 transportation challenges. In determining action to be taken on 1-11 the recommendations, the commission shall consider the importance 1-12 of trade with the United Mexican States, potential sources of 1-13 infrastructure funding at border ports, and the value of trade 1-14 activity in the department's districts adjacent to the border with 1-15 the United Mexican States. 1-16 (b) The commission may adopt rules governing the Border 1-17 Trade Advisory Committee. 1-18 SECTION 2.
