                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the application of certain licensing and registration
 1-3     requirements to activities involving resilient floor-covering
 1-4     material.
 1-5           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-6           SECTION 1. Section 15A, Texas Asbestos Health Protection Act
 1-7     (Article 4477-3a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes), is repealed.
 1-8           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
 1-9           SECTION 3. A person who on August 31, 2001, is engaged in
1-10     activities involving resilient floor-covering material is not
1-11     required to comply with the licensing and registration requirements
1-12     of the Texas Asbestos Health Protection Act (Article 4477-3a,
1-13     Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes) before January 1, 2002.
