                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the creation of a judicial district composed of Travis
 1-3     County.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is
 1-6     amended by adding Section 24.562 to read as follows:
 1-7           Sec. 24.562. 418TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (TRAVIS COUNTY). (a)
 1-8     The 418th Judicial District is composed of Travis County.
 1-9           (b)  The 418th Judicial District shall give preference to
1-10     civil cases.
1-11           SECTION 2. The 418th Judicial District is created and this
1-12     Act takes effect September 1, 2002.
