1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to the publication of certain brochures for the federal
1-3 special supplemental food program for women, infants, and children.
1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-5 SECTION 1. Subsection (f), Section 2113.107, Government
1-6 Code, is amended to read as follows:
1-7 (f) Subsection (e) does not apply to the publication of a
1-8 brochure regarding approved foods under the federal special
1-9 supplemental food program for women, infants, and children
1-10 administered by the Texas Department of Health, a publication
1-11 designed to promote tourism or economic development, a publication
1-12 of the Texas School for the Deaf or the Texas School for the Blind
1-13 and Visually Impaired, or a publication of an institution of higher
1-14 education.
1-15 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1-16 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1-17 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
1-18 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
1-19 Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
