1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the continuation of the advisory committee on inpatient
 1-3     mental health services.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1.  Section 571.027, Health and Safety Code, is
 1-6     amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
 1-7           (g)  Section 2110.008, Government Code, does not apply to the
 1-8     advisory committee.
 1-9           SECTION 2.  Section 4, Chapter 1027, Acts of the 75th
1-10     Legislature, Regular Session, 1997, is repealed.
1-11           SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1-12     a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1-13     provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
1-14     Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
1-15     Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
