A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to validating certain actions and the boundaries of the
1-3 Acton Municipal Utility District.
1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-5 SECTION 1. DEFINITION. In this Act, "district" means the
1-6 Acton Municipal Utility District.
1-7 SECTION 2. VALIDATION. The following actions and
1-8 annexations of the district are validated and confirmed as if the
1-9 actions and annexations had been done as authorized by law:
1-10 (1) any resolution, order, or other act or attempted
1-11 act of the board of directors of the district relating to an
1-12 annexation by the district taken before the effective date of this
1-13 Act; and
1-14 (2) any annexation by the district since its creation.
1-15 SECTION 3. VALIDATION OF BOUNDARIES. The following
1-16 boundaries of the district are validated as the legal boundaries of
1-17 the district:
1-18 MARTIN SUBDIVISION-(includes Victorian Place and Thistle Ridge
1-19 Additions) LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
1-20 All that certain land in Hood County, Texas known as the Martin
1-21 Subdivision and more particularly described as follows:

138-25 SECTION 4. FINDINGS RELATIVE TO BOUNDARIES. The legislature

139-11 (2) has been held invalid by a final judgment of a
139-12 court.
139-13 SECTION 6. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act takes effect
139-14 immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members
139-15 elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III,
139-16 Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote
139-17 necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1,
139-18 2001.
