                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to certain bail bond activities.
 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-4           SECTION 1.  Section 1704.303(b), Occupations Code, is amended
 1-5     to read as follows:
 1-6           (b)  A person may not advertise as a bail bond surety in a
 1-7     county unless the person holds a license issued under this chapter
 1-8     by a bail bond board in that county.
 1-9           SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
