No. 11 1-2 (In the Senate - Filed January 12, 2001; January 16, 2001, 1-3 read first time and referred to Committee on Administration; 1-4 February 1, 2001, reported favorably by the following vote: Yeas 1-5 5, Nays 0; February 1, 2001, sent to printer.) 1-6 SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 1-7 WHEREAS, The Texas DeMolay Association is widely acclaimed 1-8 and esteemed for its success in developing leadership and in 1-9 nurturing good citizenship and patriotism in young men; and 1-10 WHEREAS, The Texas DeMolay Association is sponsoring a 1-11 legislative seminar to educate its members in the process of 1-12 democratic government, both in theory and in practice; and 1-13 WHEREAS, This valuable and comprehensive educational program 1-14 will attract participants from throughout the state to acquaint 1-15 DeMolay members with legislative procedures; and 1-16 WHEREAS, The DeMolay legislative seminar is to be held in 1-17 Austin on February 17 and 18, 2001, and February 16 and 17, 2002; 1-18 and 1-19 WHEREAS, The Texas Legislature heartily endorses the goals 1-20 and ideals of the Texas DeMolay Association legislative seminar; 1-21 now, therefore, be it 1-22 RESOLVED by the 77th Texas Legislature, That, in accordance 1-23 with senate and house rules of procedure and policies of the Senate 1-24 Administration Committee and House Administration Committee, the 1-25 Texas DeMolay Association be hereby granted permission to use the 1-26 chambers of the senate and house of representatives in the State 1-27 Capitol on February 17 and 18, 2001, and February 16 and 17, 2002, 1-28 for its legislative seminar, unless the Texas Senate and House of 1-29 Representatives are in session on those dates. 1-30 * * * * *
