1-1 ****** NEED TWO-PAGE HEADER ****** 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 87 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is extremely proud 1-4 to recognize Le'Toya Ashanti Glenn-Harris, who was presented to 1-5 the community as a 2000 Cotillion Idlewild debutante; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Intelligent, hardworking, and ambitious, Le'Toya is 1-7 currently a Southern Methodist University sophomore who aspires 1-8 to become an actress and film production company owner; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Noted for her many talents and interests, she was 1-10 a member of her high school academic and drama teams, a junior 1-11 varsity cheerleader, and a member of the student council; she 1-12 also served her school as chairman of the Prom Committee, captain 1-13 of the Danze team, and president of the Meadows Charity Committee; 1-14 and 1-15 WHEREAS, Le'Toya is an exemplary young woman of style, grace, 1-16 charm, and beauty, whose notable involvements at Southern Methodist 1-17 University include the Society for African-American Communicators, 1-18 the Association of Black Students, and the Student Filmmakers 1-19 Association; and 1-20 WHEREAS, The daughter of Kevin Harris and Paula Glenn, 2-1 Le'Toya is the maternal granddaughter of Althean Guerra and 2-2 the paternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Harris; and 2-3 WHEREAS, A laudable young lady with an engaging personality, 2-4 Le'Toya strives for excellence in all of her endeavors, and 2-5 she is a source of much pride to her family, her school, and 2-6 her community; now, therefore, be it 2-7 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-8 77th Legislature, hereby congratulate Le'Toya Ashanti Glenn-Harris 2-9 on being a 2000 Cotillion Idlewild debutante and extend best 2-10 wishes for the future; and, be it further 2-11 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-12 her as a token of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-13 West 2-14 ______________________________________ 2-15 President of the Senate 2-16 I hereby certify that the above 2-17 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-18 on January 24, 2001. 2-19 ______________________________________ 2-20 Secretary of the Senate 2-21 ______________________________________ 2-22 Member, Texas Senate
