1-1 1 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 114 1-3 In Memory 1-4 of 1-5 Ned Euseppi 1-6 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the 1-7 citizens of El Paso in mourning the tragic loss of Ned Euseppi, 1-8 who died in a motorcycle accident on December 10, 2000; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Born in 1951, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Ned Euseppi 1-10 moved to El Paso in 1991 to take charge of restructuring Sun World 1-11 Corporation; after negotiating the company's successful turnaround, 1-12 he was appointed to several Sun World Bank boards; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Following the acquisition of Sun World Corporation 1-14 by NationsBank, Mr. Euseppi became the founding president and 1-15 chief executive officer of Capital Savings Bank, where he was 1-16 beloved by his colleagues and bank employees and admired for his 1-17 entrepreneurial skill and expertise in his field; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Well known for his sense of humor and engaging 1-19 personality, Ned had a tremendous zest for life and loved riding 1-20 on his motorcycle, particularly across the Big Bend territory; he 1-21 was an adventurer and a good friend to many, and his camaraderie 1-22 will be greatly missed; and 2-1 WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished gentleman, 2-2 Ned Euseppi was respected for his many accomplishments and his 2-3 leadership in the community; he was a member of the Rotary Club 2-4 of El Paso and the El Paso Symphony Orchestra Foundation board 2-5 of directors; he coached city league basketball and was a past 2-6 president of the El Paso Insights Museum; and 2-7 WHEREAS, A man of integrity, strength, and generosity, he 2-8 gave unselfishly of his time to others, and his wisdom, warmth, 2-9 and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those who knew him; and 2-10 WHEREAS, Ned Euseppi lived his life to the fullest and was 2-11 a devoted husband and father, and he leaves behind memories that 2-12 will be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, 2-13 therefore, be it 2-14 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-15 77th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the 2-16 bereaved family of Ned Euseppi: his wife, Kathy Euseppi; his 2-17 daughter, Julie; his sons, Paul and Jonathan; and his three 2-18 sisters and two brothers; and, be it further 2-19 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-20 the members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy 2-21 from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, 2-22 it do so in memory of Ned Euseppi. 2-23 Shapleigh 2-24 ______________________________________ 2-25 President of the Senate 2-26 I hereby certify that the above 2-27 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-28 on January 29, 2001, by a rising vote. 3-1 ______________________________________ 3-2 Secretary of the Senate 3-3 ______________________________________ 3-4 Member, Texas Senate
