1-1 1 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 155 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in 1-4 recognizing the Midland Christian High School Mustangs on their 1-5 Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class 4A state 1-6 championship; and 1-7 WHEREAS, Bringing home the first-ever 11-man football state 1-8 championship trophy for Midland Christian proved to be a most 1-9 satisfying experience; the decisive 48-24 victory over the 1-10 Fort Worth Christian Cardinals was exceptionally sweet, for the 1-11 Mustangs lost the district title to the Cardinals four weeks prior 1-12 to the championship game; and 1-13 WHEREAS, Demonstrating a total team effort with aggressive 1-14 ball handling and outstanding defensive maneuvering, the Mustangs 1-15 displayed exceptional skill and determination with their 1-16 accumulation of 556 total yards and 36 first downs in the final 1-17 showdown; and 1-18 WHEREAS, Head Coach Greg McClendon and Assistant Coaches 1-19 Chris McKinney, Dub Huckabee, Van Gravitt, John Hufford, 1-20 Reagan Key, Kenneth Smith, and Dave Stroud brought the Mustangs 1-21 to their impressive 10-3 season performance and deserve credit 1-22 for instilling in their players a desire to perform to their 2-1 highest potential; and 2-2 WHEREAS, The Midland Christian High School team members, 2-3 David Guerrero, Garrett Hellums, Coy Riley, Jamie Beeghley, 2-4 Justin Kuethe, Jordan Wilson, Phillip Prude, Timmy Brock, 2-5 Cliff Richardson, Colby Gann, Paul Bezinque, Josh Gunter, 2-6 Kacy Groves, T. J. Midkiff, Chase Feeler, Thomas Minihan, 2-7 Greg Ross, Colby Turnbough, James Vallee, Colby Ansley, 2-8 Roy Geer, Blake Morphew, Jonathan Grosse, Cody Crossland, 2-9 Hunter Hill, Cad Davis, Jordan Swinney, Casey Lagan, Jacob Cannon, 2-10 Brandon Tobias, Brandon Quick, Dustin Hull, Justin Carlile, 2-11 Jack Grist, J. D. Machacek, Cliff McGraw, Ben Fair, Roan Moreno, 2-12 Aaron Schrank, Bruce Sheppard, A. J. Eaton, J. T.
