1-1 1 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 167 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to 1-4 recognize Lee High School of Midland, Texas, on its third 1-5 consecutive Class 5A state football championship; and 1-6 WHEREAS, The annals of sports history will reflect the 1-7 skill and determination of the Lee Rebels as they closed their 1-8 2000 season with yet another championship title; tying the record 1-9 that was last set 44 years ago in Class 4A, the championship wins 1-10 are a feat unprecedented in Class 5A which has been in existence 1-11 since 1980; and 1-12 WHEREAS, Under the superior leadership and expertise of 1-13 Head Coach John Parchman, and Assistant Coaches Scott Hicks, 1-14 Randy Josey, Corby Maurer, Joel Gotcher, Mike Meeks, 1-15 Danny Neighbors, Kelvin Ratliff, Ronnie Reeger, Randy Smith, 1-16 and Dennis Bryant, the Rebels generated excitement all season 1-17 culminating in yet another championship title; and 1-18 WHEREAS, The Midland Lee Rebels, Tim Norman, Damon Johnson, 1-19 Michael Wynn, Ashley Jackson, Michael Skinner, Matt Ratliff, 1-20 Fletcher Pendergrass, J. R.
