1-1 1 1-2 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 193 1-3 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased and 1-4 proud to welcome the participants of Leadership Corpus Christi 1-5 to the State Capitol on February 8, 2001; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Leadership Corpus Christi was established in 1-7 1972 by the Chamber of Commerce and is the third oldest community 1-8 leadership program in the country; it is an annual series of 1-9 educational programs that focus on significant community 1-10 information and issues; the members of the Steering Committee 1-11 are Michael Briones, Ken Trevino, Trudie Brunner, Sylvia Ford, 1-12 Joe Guerra, Michael Harrison, Tim Legamora, Pat Rousseau, and 1-13 John Valls; and 1-14 WHEREAS, This illustrious program has as its purpose 1-15 advancing positive, progressive, and orderly business and 1-16 professional development in the Corpus Christi area using a 1-17 twofold approach: it seeks to educate potential and existing 1-18 business and community leaders about the diverse realities, 1-19 personalities, and challenges in the city; and it seeks to 1-20 develop and enhance visionary leadership skills through in-depth 1-21 training; the participants of the year's Leadership Corpus Christi 1-22 are Veronica R. Adams, Laura A. Aguinaga, Cliff E. Atnip, 2-1 Mark A. Avelar, Darron R. Bergstrom, David Berlanga, 2-2 Dawn S. Bissell, Rebecca A. Bradford, Bethany E. Bragg, 2-3 Rose Cantu, Louis Cervantes, Haysam D. Dawod, Patricia L. Garcia, 2-4 Diane LaRue, Gordon D. Laws, Edward Martinez, Maria Martinez, 2-5 Robert McCarty, Alan T. McClain, Pamela McGonagill, Paul McKimmy, 2-6 Veronica Moreno, Pamela Mosley, Dana K. Pickett, Daiquiri L. Richard, 2-7 Celeste Sawhook, Eduardo J. Trillos, Rosa Valdez, Donald D. Vaughn, 2-8 and Wendy L.
