 1-2                          SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 227
 1-3           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. David Kerbow placed great faith and
 1-4     trust in the future when they married on February 5, 1951, and they
 1-5     have been amply rewarded as they recently celebrated their golden
 1-6     wedding anniversary; and
 1-7           WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the years
 1-8     of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Kerbow, of Commerce, Texas,
 1-9     have steadfastly embraced traditional family and moral values; and
1-10           WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their
1-11     love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and
1-12     sorrows of everyday living; and
1-13           WHEREAS, David and Doris Kerbow have been blessed with a
1-14     wonderful family; their children, Diana Williams, Debbie Carr,
1-15     David Kerbow, and Duane Kerbow, and their six grandchildren and
1-16     three great-grandchildren have been a source of much pride and
1-17     joy; and
1-18           WHEREAS, David Kerbow is retired from Williams Motors, and
1-19     Doris Kerbow is retired from her career as a banker in the Dallas
1-20     and Commerce area; and
 2-1           WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Kerbow will celebrate their anniversary
 2-2     at a reception hosted by their children on March 17, 2001, at the
 2-3     First Methodist Church of Commerce; and
 2-4           WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Mr. and Mrs. Kerbow
 2-5     is truly an inspiration to us all; now, therefore, be it
 2-6           RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
 2-7     77th Legislature, hereby extend sincere congratulations to
 2-8     Mr. and Mrs. David Kerbow on their 50th wedding anniversary;
 2-9     and, be it further
2-10           RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-11     this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
2-12     their lives.
